Relaunch the standalone client. Look. I've got a 50 MB/s bandwidth. I install 50 Gb of "Witcher 3" from Steam in a little more than an hour. But today I started downloading PoE at approximately 10:00 p.m. And at 3:45 a.m. it is still 99%. 6 hours! 6 hours for 20 Gigs! And during that time my HDD was so busy I hardly could launch PyCharm (which is not that heavy at all). steam: ~11.8 GB which is a difference of ~4 GB (!!!). I'm running PoE from hdd and the standalone client always had a better performance than the steam version (less stuttering and loading times). It is technically only game that has issue patching on steam that i've played. Not even Dota 2 stuffers this issue it far larger game than path of exile. When I can download and install a 10GB game in <15mins, and it takes PoE that long to install a 200MB patch, something is wrong.

This is a general Steam issue. Not related to PoE. Somehow when i download a full game, Steam uses my full bandwith of 5MB/s without giving the super-slow-busy-writing-to-disk issue. It only is so ♥♥♥♥in slow when it is a patch.
